Wildlife Rescues & Sanctuaries.

Mammals across the world are currently disappearing faster in Australia than anywhere on earth. This is a shameful statistic for Australia to bear and this was before the 2019-2020 bushfire season decimated an estimated 1 billion animals. Here you can connect with some of the many much needed Wildlife Rescues and Sanctuaries that have come into being out of necessity to keep our disappearing wildlife from disappearing altogether...

The Sanctuary is a registered charity dedicated to the conservation and protecting the genetic integrity of the Australian Native Dingo. Is the Australian Dingo threatened with extinction? Yes. Cooberrie Park Wildlife Sanctuary

Reposted from @wildlifecookies (@get_reg

Cooberrie Park is a wildlife sanctuary that takes care of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife that are then rehabilitated and released back to the wild. These animals are victims of car hits, dog and cat attacks, along with birds falling out of nests, sick and abandoned animals.

Once recuperated, Cooberrie Park permanently houses wildlife that can’t be released back to the wild and houses rescued animals from all across Australia, including animals from the RSPCA along with confiscated illegal wildlife.

Unfortunately, all wildlife parks have been temporarily closed by the Queensland Government due to Coronavirus. During this time their wildlife is receiving the best care and they continue to receive wildlife that needs rehabilitating.

Stonedeaf Wildlife Townsville
